What a lovely Summer it has been. After such a cold and nasty Winter it was a relief to actually get a good Summer this year. For us at The Rowborough it could not have been better timed. With this our first full season it certainly gave us the exposure we wanted and we have had the pleasure of meeting lots of wonderful people right through July, August and September. So much so that we have not had the opportunity to post any of our favourite comments since June, but rest assured we have had plenty. You don’t have to take my word for it, why not have a look on our Trip Advisor page. Now with 15 reviews and a 100% recommendation we are  the 7/56 best hotel in Shanklin, not bad in our first year…..!

And then there was Smiley, our now resident Supersaurus who arrived at the beginning of August for a 10 day stay and to play with the children and has never left. For those of you who have not met him why not have a quick look on The Rowborough Face Book page to read of his Summer adventures. For those of you who have met him you will be pleased to know he is still here, having a relaxing time with our more mature guests but is very much looking forward to the children’s Half Term Holidays for more outings and fun….

So to all you folks out there that were here this Summer, thank you for visiting us and we hope we will see you again soon. For those of you reading this who have not yet experienced our ‘home from home’ hospitality, why not give us a try, we promise you will not be disappointed!!

We have had so many lovely comments this month it has been extremely difficult to just pick one so we have decided to share with you a few. Here are our favourites:

Firstly there was Connie & Ron Martindale from Bolton who stayed with us from 8th – 15th June. They said:

‘Michelle, Caroline and Brian made us welcome from Day 1. By Day 2 we almost felt like one of the family. Nothing was too much of a problem for them. We had the mobility friendly room which gave every help to my slightly disabled wife. All these things add up to us wanting to return sometime in the future. We would have no hesitation in recommending The Rowborough to our friends and family.’

Secondly there was Amanda & Mark (Smudge) Smith from Crawley West Sussex who stayed wth us with their 2 dogs from 20th – 23rd June. They said:

‘Had a fabulous time at The Rowborough. Very hospitable and made to feel very welcome and the dogs loved it too. Will definitely be back. Thank you.xxx’

Last but by no means least there was Joyce Collings and her Aunt Marjorie from Southampton who stayed with us from 23rd-27th June. They said:

‘Thank you Michelle and Caroline for a lovely stay.We were made so very welcome and you both looked after us so well. Everywhere is so clean and comfortable and the rooms so nice. Good luck for your future. You deserve to do well’

So many thanks to all of you, we hope to see you all again in the future….

Spring has arrived and with it 2 Bank Holidays in May. Lots of lovely guests and so hard to choose a favourite comment this month but finally we have settled on this one.

Written by Glady, Berms and Jerrin Nadar-Arulmani who stayed with us between 25th – 28th May 2013. They said:

‘ We stayed in Rowborough Hotel Shanklin for 3 nights and really enjoyed staying here. The stay was very comfortable with lovely breakfast. Most importantly the Hosts. Michelle & Caroline were very pleasant, always with a smile and really made us feel ‘AT HOME’.  When we do visit Isle of Wight again we know where to stay now. Our heart felt thanks to Brian, Michelle and Caroline for really making our stay in Isle of Wight special. Best Wishes,

Glady, Berms and Jerrin.

Many Thanks to them for their nice comments. As we start the Summer season we are sure there will be plenty more guests to meet and hopefully lots more comments for us to share with you all.

Another month has passed but the lovely guest comments keep coming. Here is our choice for April.
